Designed by master gardeners in New Zealand, this 3-chamber Earthmaker Composter is an ingeniously designed gravity-fed system that's great for teaching kids to be less wasteful. It's exciting and fun for children to monitor the progress of their compost from top to bottom in as little as 10 weeks. The large lid on top swings open for easy dumping of food scraps and garden waste. After a few weeks, they can slide out the panel to drop the contents into the second chamber and refill the top with fresh waste. After another few weeks, they can drop the contents into the last chamber to finish maturing into excellent nutrient-rich compost for the garden.
