Turn Your Scraps from Trash to Garden TreasureTurn Your Scraps from Trash to Garden Treasure

Our bestselling single-bin tumbling composter makes successful composting fast, simple, and virtually foolproof. Kids can easily add clippings and scraps through the wide lid, and with a few turns of the smooth-rolling bin, completely turn and aerate their batch. The reward is rich, finished compost in as little as 4 weeks! The round bin is supported by a heavy-duty tubular steel frame, and is so well balanced that even young children can rotate it. Instructions included. 37-gal capacity.

Gardening with Kids Store Tip

About Batch Composting
Most organic waste can be composted, and tumbling helps to ensure that disease organisms and weed seeds are destroyed. For best results:

• Put a mixture of lawn clippings, dry leaves, weeds, vegetable scraps, fruit peelings (not citrus), coffee grounds, crushed egg shells, etc. in the composter.

• Strive for a balance between dry and moist materials.

• Chop or shred larger items.

• Position the bin in a sunny location.

• Keep the mixture damp with a fine water spray.

• Tumble 3 times daily for faster (4-6 week) composting, or once daily over 12 weeks for longer processing.
