Garden Scrapbook Garden Scrapbook

As the year comes to a close, there is no better time to gather all your garden mementos and organize them into a scrapbook. A scrapbook helps to document your efforts, plan for the future, build excitement among participants, and promote your garden to potential funders.

Some things to include in your scrapbook:

  • Pictures from start to finish. Make sure to get photos of the garden at its peak.

  • Student drawings and excerpts from garden journals.

  • Plant lists and a map of the garden layout.

  • Harvest data.

  • Names of those who donated time (volunteers), funding and materials to garden efforts.

  • Packets of seeds collected from garden plants.

  • Pressed leaves and flowers.

  • Detailed information about favorite lessons and activities.

  • Newspaper clippings, newsletter articles and other publicity.

  • Letters of support and feedback from students, parents, administrators and community members.

  • Information about awards and other recognition.

  • Plans for the future!
