Who We AreFor more than 40 years, the National Gardening Association has been providing educational resources and funding to create opportunities for children and adults to grow through gardening programs in schools, communities, and backyards across the country. Our Mission To empower every generation to lead healthier lives, build stronger communities, and encourage environmental stewardship through educational gardening programs. All proceeds from your purchase support our nonprofit education and grant programs. Numerous studies show that gardening improves learning skills, promotes healthier eating habits, and results in an improved quality of life for children and adults. We are grateful for all donations, each and every dollar counts: Help support NGA Gardening with Kids Provides tools and resources that help teachers and community leaders use gardening as a method to enhance education and foster environmentally responsible adults. Lessons, funding and a wealth of other information is provided at Kidsgardening.org, where educators, parents, and community organizers can find gardening resources; GrowLab: Activities For Growing Minds, a curriculum used in classrooms across the country to help students learn about science and the environment; Gardening with Kids catalog, a print and online resource packed with educational tools and hands-on kits; and Youth Garden Grants, our grant programs annually award gardening tools and supplies to schools, youth groups, and community organizations.
